Laboratory for Social-Emotional Development and Intervention
Non-Profit Administration and Community Engagement
After receiving my Hon. B.A. from the University of Toronto, specializing in English with a minor in Sociology, I spent more than ten years in the education and early years sector, continuing my education and professional development in different areas including Montessori Education, Family Supports, Community Engagement, and Infant Mental Health.
Prior to joining SEDI Lab, I worked with the west Mississauga community for five years as a facilitator in EarlyON Child and Family Centres and then specializing community engagement. I am able to continue my commitment to supporting young children and their families as a member of the Board of Directors at the Family Supports Institute Ontario (2016-present). It was while working with families that I developed a passion for community building and engagement and social-emotional development.
My work here at SEDI weaves many of these experiences together as I assist the laboratory in its commitment to supporting families and practitioners in promoting their children’s social-emotional development, mental health, and well-being.
