Social-Emotional Development and Intervention

I completed my Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Nipissing University. As a nurse I worked in several psychiatric areas including a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit. It was during this time I realized I wanted to further my understanding of psychology. I am now working towards a second degree, this time specializing in Psychology at UTM. I am thrilled to be a member of the SEDI Lab team, volunteering will add valuable research experience to my repertoire, and increase my understanding of social-emotional development. I plan to continue working within a pediatric environment therefore the knowledge and experience I gain will greatly enhance my practice as a Registered Nurse. My time volunteering at the SEDI-Lab will also aid in my goal of continuing on to a Masters program, and help to quench my thirst for knowledge.
