Erinn Acland

Erinn Acland

PhD Student

I recently finished my M.A. in Dr. Loren Martin’s lab where I studied chronic pain, mental illness, and empathy-related processes in rodents. I am currently in the 2nd year of my Ph.D. in Psychology and am interested in how genes, emotions, environment, and physiology interact to predict the development of aggressive and violent behaviours in youth. I am particularly interested in how genes that have been previously linked to social behavioural outcomes interact with parenting style to affect children's emotional responses to challenging social scenarios.
