Iren Karki

Research Assistant

I recently graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science with a major in psychology and biology. I am very fascinated with social-emotional developmental (SEDI) lab research, specifically the study involving the development of emotions and aggressive behaviour, and its long-term effects on behavioural health. I am also interested in finding the protective factors that can reduce the development of negative emotions and instances of aggression in children, as well as the solutions that can be provided to help channel aggressive behaviours into more positive ones. I recently completed an Independent Research Project under Dr. Malti’s supervision. I am extremely fortunate to be helping Dr. Malti and her team in SEDI research lab. This position will help me gain experience, knowledge, and technical skills that will be valuable for my future goals. I am eager to continue bringing my skills to the lab and also learn from my supervisors and team members.
