Community Engagement Coordinator

 

Sian Day received her bachelor’s in English and Sociology from the University of Toronto. After graduating, she pursued her interest in helping others and tackling social injustices and inequalities by completing the Social Service Worker program at Sheridan College with high honours. She has experience in the non-profit sector as a client feedback coordinator, youth and adult group facilitator, and mental health educator which has afforded her strong workshop development skills and the ability to build connections with community members. Her desire is to work alongside marginalized communities and individuals to dismantle the systemic oppression and barriers that impact them. In her professional journey, she strives to empower and support all individuals she encounters by utilizing an intersectional, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed approach.
